Congratulations to President Obama and the people of the US of A.
As a foreigner who wants good things to happen in any and all parts of the world, I wish Americans will work more in harmony with their president. How successful Obama can be as American president will depend on how well his fellow-Americans can rein in their demands for their expectations to be satisfied.
Keep the hopes alive.
Woo! Obama! Obama-rama! Go Obama!
I hope everyone appreciates this isn’t going to be easy and there will be many dark days ahead when unpopular decisions with brutal results will have to be made by President Obama.
This will be the legacy of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and the nearly insanely greedy neo-cons. We ought never to forget.
I do also hope the good will of yesterday stretches far, far into all of our tomorrows.
Obama is the type of guy who will always have a high popularity rating regardless of what he does. I’m sure he will piss off a lot of fat cats and extreme right wingers. That’s life. I’m looking forward to it.
Usually, my crankiness is only exceeded by my cynicism.
I admit it. My hopes are up a good deal on this guy. If he can only scrape his associates in Congress out of the lobbyist-dumpster they all live in, we might even get something done for the people of this nation.
I wish they would ban all lobbying in congress.
I used the words ‘institutional dishonesty’ to describe the culture of a large organization where I once worked.
It seems that description ‘just might’ be appropriate for Congress.
As I discovered to my pain and sorrow, changing the culture of an organization can be difficult to the point of impossible.
